Wisconsin Clean Hops Program

HopsThe Clean Hop Program was a collaboration between researchers at the UW-Madison Departments of Horticulture and Plant Pathology, UW-Extension agricultural agents in several counties, and hop growers, from 2014-2020. The program maintained a collection of pathogen-free hop planting stock, provided pathogen-free stock plants to growers upon request, and conducted research into methods for plant propagation and virus elimination from hop plants. Information from the research program is available through this website (see menu to right).
